“I’m glad that Glasán has a recycling program, it’s very good for the environment. I liked how the room checks were quick and efficient during inspections. The only problem I had was the Internet, it was either really slow or did not work. I will no longer be studying in Ireland so I will not get the chance to live here again unfortunately.”
“Glasán is good value for money, having all electricity and bin prices included is great. The apartments are especially great, the wooden floors are a more modern and nicer way to live in. The location is a big decider, no commuting from town in the morning, no waiting for buses in the rain, the location is the best bit, it’s so convenient. I do feel though that stricter penalties should be implemented for those causing trouble at all hours of the night. Just because you’re in college doesn’t mean you can act a dope all the time! More needs to be done to stop those causing trouble from continuing to do so once security leave.The recycling is also a great idea but some people can’t read and there are always black sacks in the recycling bins when it is clearly marked recycling. It’s not that difficult to wash out tins and packaging for recycling put people put dirty containers in the recycling which contaminate the rest of the recycling making it useless. I’m finished college now but I would definitely recommend Glasán to those attending GMIT!”

“Glasán is ideally located just a moments throw from the GMIT. Glasán is the MLI central base in Galway and our students have been attending since summer 2004. The pedestrian crossing on Ballybane Rd is also excellent for our younger students to cross. Customer service and security on site is also very good. The general surrounds and landscaping are very well maintained.”.

“The best thing about staying in Glasán is that it is so close to the college. It is a bit more expensive than private rented houses but it is handy and convenient for college and meeting people”.

There are other people in my course staying in Glasán so I always see a familiar face. If I do not have time to cook / shop there is the restaurant and newsagents on site. “This is my second year living in Glasán and to be honest I wouldn’t have it any other way. Glasán staff will do anything for us, be it problems in the house or letting us live with friends. When living in Glasán you have to realise that you are living in a student village, which does mean it wont always be peace and quiet but we are provided with fully equipped houses with well-maintained grounds”.
