Q. How are housemates allocated?
A. When filling out your Application Form, if there are particular people you wish to share with you must indicate this on your form. Please try and apply together as allocations are completed on a 1st come 1st served basis. Glasán staff will endeavour to satisfy your requirements but this is subject to availability and subject to all people paying their deposits and 1st Moieties in full. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to facilitate all requests.
Otherwise housemates will be allocated taking consideration of gender and academic year. Again we cannot guarantee that we will be able to facilitate all requests.
Q.What is the Academic Letting Period?
A. Students have their rooms for the full 39-week academic letting period; this letting period is Monday 5th September 2011 to Saturday 2nd June 2012.
Q. When are the final dates for payment of 1st and 2nd Moieties?
A. Your 1st Moiety must be received by 25th August 2011. 2nd Moiety must be paid in full by 8th December 2011. Your room and booking deposit will be forfeited if payment is not received by this date.
Q. Can I be informed of my apartment number and roommates prior to my arrival?
A. No, your apartment details will be issued to you on arrival. There are over 732 students in Glasán therefore from an administration point of view we cannot issue details prior to check-in.
Q. What documentation do I need to complete to secure my place at Glasán?
A. You will need the following:
- You must send the security / booking deposit with your Application Form.
- A copy of the letting agreement will be forwarded to you for signature together with a guarantor form. This must be signed by your guarantor, witnessed and returned to us.
- Receipt of your 1st moiety payment prior to the closing date will complete your application. When you arrive to take up residence at Glasán on or after the check in date in September, on production of your receipt of payment you will be issued with your accommodation details, your card key and full inventory checklist which must be returned to the office within 1 week.

Q. Is the electricity included in the room rate?
A. No, household bills to be transferred into the name of the head tenant. Bills are the sole responsibility of the house hold and will be passed on directly.
Q. How are houses allocated?
A. If you have a particular house that you are interested in please contact our office for a viewing. Glasán staff will endeavour to satisfy your requirements but this is subject to availability, application and deposit being paid in full.

A. A standing order must be set up between head tenant and Co tenants & Glasán. Rent is transferred electronically into our bank on the 1st of each month.
