What if I don’t get my course in my chosen college and have to cancel my accommodation?

If the applicant/licensee wishes to cancel or is unsuccessful in their application to their chosen college, they must cancel in writing by email or via their Student Portal account by 5:00pm on Tuesday 20th August 2019. Cancellations by telephone will not be accepted.

In the event of cancellation by the aforementioned date, a €100 cancellation fee will be deducted from the booking/damage deposit and the remainder refunded. Refunds will be issued by bank transfer only. If the applicant cancels after the cut-off date outlined above, no refund will be issued.

If the applicant/licensee cancels after having paid the first moiety, or at any time during the course of the licence agreement, a refund will only be made after the bedspace has been resold and paid for. The cancelling applicant/licensee is responsible for rent for any period up until the new applicant/licensee moves in. Glasan will endeavour to find a replacement applicant but it cannot be guaranteed so we encourage cancelling applicants/licensees to actively seek a replacement.

Failure to refill the bed space will result in the applicant/licensee losing all monies paid. If a replacement applicant/licensee is found the €100 cancellation fee and any other relevant deductions will apply.

If I get evicted or leave before the end of the year what happens?

If a student is evicted, no refunds will be made, to include electricity prepayment.
