Payment of Deposit;

 Damage Deposit: €290 partly refundable at the end of the academic year less damages should they occur and/or any missing items, a full statement will be issued explaining deductions.

Electricity: A prepayment of €315 is made per person for electricity through your 1st moiety. Each house/apartment is metered individually as a unit. Electricity bills are divided equally between residents and deducted from prepayment. A copy of the bills is then issued to each individual unit. A + or – balance will be deducted or refunded at the end of the academic year.

Terms of Booking and Payment of Moieties;

The GMIT academic period runs from September to June – a 39 week period. Students staying at Glasán sign a lease for this period and are liable for rent during this lease term.

Glasán rent is paid in 2 moiety payments broken down as follows; 

• 1st Moiety Payment: September to End January – 22 weeks
• 2nd Moiety Payment: February – June – 17 weeks
• Utilities: A utility fee of €105 is also payable per semester. This fee covers, cable TV, refuse, TV licenses etc.
• Electricity Prepayment: A prepayment of €315 is paid with your first moiety rent.
